DEFENDOOR DS 30 | 60
DEFENDOOR DS steel fire doors and closures are manufactured from two galvanized steel sheets, each 0.75 mm thick, filled with Rockwool mineral wool. The density of the infill is 120 kg/m³ for fire resistance class EI₂ 30, and 140 kg/m³ for class EI₂ 60. Door leaves and frames are powder-coated in standard RAL colors.
DEFENDOOR DS fire doors are available in single-leaf or double-leaf configurations and are suitable for both interior and exterior use.
Testing is carried out in accordance with EN 1634-1, and classifications are defined according to EN 13501-2. DEFENDOOR DS 30 doors are available in single-leaf and double-leaf variants, featuring fire resistance rating EI₂ 30.
Non-fire-rated versions are also available under the model name DEFENDOOR DS 00.

Surface Finish
The steel sheets are powder-coated and can be covered with a decorative PVC foil or optional panels made from corrosion-resistant steel.
Door leaves up to a height of 2500 mm are mounted in an aluminum press-formed frame, using a minimum of two stainless steel hinges, grade EN 1.4301 / AISI 304.
This overall construction results in reduced stress on the door hinges, locks, and closers, which directly contributes to improved functionality and extended service life.
Aluminum Frame
DEFENDOOR DS frames are made from 3 mm thick press-formed aluminum, supplied as standard in a corner (Z) profile, with optional upgrades to casing (architrave) or block frame designs. A version with a thermal break is also available.
The 3 mm aluminum frame offers greater structural strength and a wider effective clear opening compared to standard steel frames. Invisible mitered corner joints are secured with concealed angle connectors, ensuring a high-quality, seamless appearance without welding. Additionally, aluminum frames pose no risk of corrosion, making them ideal for exterior use or environments with high humidity.
