The project to expand the Eurovea multifunctional complex in Bratislava was one of the most technically demanding construction projects in Slovakia. Situated on the banks of the Danube, it faced several significant challenges. The high groundwater level required precise waterproofing solutions and special construction technologies. The connection of the new complex to the existing shopping center had to be carried out during full operation, while minimizing disruption to visitors was essential.
“The largest shopping center with offices in Slovakia, which combines modern shopping areas and administrative spaces with exceptional architecture.”
Eurovea, Bratislava, Slovakia
The project included three underground garages with extensive parking capacity, ensuring convenient access for residents and visitors to the shopping center. From an architectural point of view, it was important that the new parts harmoniously connect with the existing building and maintain the unity of design, which is characteristic of the entire complex.
Fire doors – Safety and design in harmony
As part of the Eurovea expansion, special emphasis was placed on fire-resistant solutions. The prefabricated doors met strict technical and safety parameters, which included fire resistance and protection against the spread of smoke. Despite the demanding technical requirements, they had to be visually coordinated with the interior design so as not to disrupt the aesthetic concept of the space.
Each door was additionally equipped with complex electrotechnical and mechanical accessories, which allows for access control to individual operations and ensures a high level of control and security in the building. DEFENDOOR, with its professional approach, ensured an implementation that met all expectations in terms of quality, security and design.
